NATIONAL AFTERSCHOOL ASSOCIATION HONORS KRISTA BEACH OF IVY LEAGUE KIDS AMONG ITS 2020 NEXT GENERATION OF AFTERSCHOOL LEADERS

WASHINGTON, D.C., January 8, 2020 – The National AfterSchool Association (NAA), the voice
of the afterschool profession and lead organization for the advancement of afterschool
professionals and leaders has selected Krista Beach, Assistant Program Director at Ivy League
Kids in Mokena as one of NAA’s 2020 Next Generation of Afterschool Leaders.

In selecting it Next Generation of Afterschool Leaders 2020, the National AfterSchool
Association sought to highlight emerging young leaders who are active in the afterschool
community—with a proven passion for professional development, efforts to elevate the field,
and persistence in their work to grow as leaders. Honorees were profiled in the Winter 2020

Ivy League Kids is based in Mokena, IL and serves surrounding areas in before and after school,
day off programming and summer camp. The program focuses on fitness recreation and
academic enrichment in a healthy, safe environment to all students in Kindergarten through 8th
grade.

An estimated 10.2 million young people participate in afterschool programs each year and the
industry employs an estimated 850,000. The National AfterSchool Association is the professional
